Will focuses on mergers and acquisitions as well as business transactions. Before getting his J.D. Will spent two years as a Industrial Engineer for Kohler Company in Wisconsin. While at Kohler he earned his six sigma green belt, and worked on process improvements and new product launches in the faucets division. While in law school Will participated as a member of the Moot Court Board, and was on the Intellectual Property Moot Court team.

PATRICK SHEY

Pat focuses on business transaction and corporate matters. Pat is a former legislative aid to U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley, was Assistant General Counsel at the U.S. Commodities and Futures Association, and General Counsel for Auxiant, a third-party administrator of self-funded health plans. He also served for many years on the City of Cedar Rapids City Council and in the Iowa Legislature. His extensive public service provides valuable insight to many transactions. Pat transitioned to part time retired status at the end of 2025.

Randy focuses on developing effective solutions to complicated business issues and transactions. Previously he worked at large, small and midsize law firms and as internal counsel at private, public and nonprofit companies. Randy has served as Chief Legal Officer for TrueNorth Companies, L.C. And First MainStreet Insurance, L.C. in the insurance sector, ark Data Centers, LLC f/k/a Involta, LLC in the technology services sector (a company he co-founded) and EdgeData, LLC in the "Big Data" intelligence sector. He was previously General Counsel for publicly traded McLeodUSA and Corporate Counsel for the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives. He has experience with many varied insurance transactions, litigation matters, technology transactions, and early-stage high growth companies. This broad and diverse experience enables Randy to offer unique insights into many transactions and alternatives.
